Jeep to Kosova Easter 2013

On 29th March 2013 a Mitsubishi Jeep will leave Belfast on route to Kosova. The plan is that it will be towing a trailer full of medical supplies for the Family Medicine Centre in Kacanik and educational toys for a toy library.

The medical supplies are desperately needed for the Family Medicine Centre as the municipality budget is very small and unable to provide enough of what is needed to run the centre which also has a very busy A&E department.
The toy library is a new venture and is the first of it’s kind in Kosova.  The main aims of the toy library are to provide playtime for children, teaching them how to play on their own as well as with other children and to provide a place where mums can meet socially as well as benefit from many different aspects of health education which can be provided for them. At the end of each meeting the children will be allowed to take a toy home to play with it until the next meeting when they will bring it back and exchange it  for a different toy.

Can you help us?

The Mitsubishi jeep has already been donated to us and the trailer purchased however we still need to raise money for the following,

Insurance, ferry crossings, diesel and road tolls, educational toys and medical supplies.

If you would like to make a contribution of any kind to this project it would be very much appreciated by the group and by the three guys driving Darren McGarrity, Andrew McCullough and Phillip Dewar.
