Merry May Day in Holywood

For the past twenty years or so Holywood has hosted May Day celebrations in the town when the community gets together to enjoy a bit of fun, young people dance around the only Maypole in Ireland, old friendships are renewed and local charities sell their wares on the numerous different stalls provided by North Down Borough Council to raise money for their various causes.

The Kosova Support Group had their stall as usual selling buns, cakes, jams and plants.

A small group of ladies also served tea and coffee in 1st Holywood Presbyterian Church to raise money for the summer team and it was lovely to have so many people call for a cuppa and a chat.

A big thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make this a very successful today.
