Delivery of Palliative Care Dressings

During the half term break at Halloween Gail spent another busy and very productive week in Kosova.

The main purpose of the trip was to deliver specialist dressings to the palliative care programmes in Gjakova and Kacanik.  At the end of October, after weeks of sourcing the dressings and raising the money to pay for them she and a bag weighing just over 27kg arrived in Kosova. The palliative care doctor and nurses were just thrilled with what was brought, these items aren’t available to buy in Kosova so their delight was understandable.

We have to say a very big thank you to all who helped make this possible through their generous giving and to the local Pharmacist without whose help it just wouldn’t have been possible. Also a big thank you to the pupils and staff of Dominican College Fortwilliam who raised a substantial amount of money for this project.
